Half Shear (lance form) in V20

Half Shear (lance form) in V20

(OP)
I am trying tp create a half shear in Solid Edge so I can run wires through them. I'm running V20 and apparently there is no direct function to do. There is a lance for a louver but that would not restrain the wires.

Any ideas?

Thanks

RE: Half Shear (lance form) in V20

Jay,

You could use the "switch to part" command and model the lance there.  Create a rectangular cutout and then model the half shear.  This would not show up in the flat pattern, but that may not matter since it's more of a deformation feature like a dimple etc.

you can do that with the bead command in the sheet metal environment. look at the options carefully.
