Assembly Level Cut Question

Assembly Level Cut Question

Assembly Level Cut Question

(OP)
Hello All,
I have an assembly where I needed to add some cut features to a part at the assembly.  This was no issue but when I mirror the part over the top plane it does not mirror the cut features, only the part before the features were added.  Is there a way to include the assembly level cut features in the mirror?

Thanks,
BB

RE: Assembly Level Cut Question

What version of SW are you using?  In 2009 and maybe in 2008 you can propagate the assembly features to the part files.

Hi Eltron,
I am using SW2008 SP5.0  What is the procedure to do the propagation?

Thanks,
BB

RE: Assembly Level Cut Question

There should be a little checkbox in the Feature Scope of your Assembly Cut Property dialog that says propagate to parts.

RE: Assembly Level Cut Question

Propagating assembly cuts to the part was only introduced in SW09.

Curse that damn 2009, until I get it that is :)

Thanks all
