Cut extrude sketch profile to a surface

Cut extrude sketch profile to a surface

Cut extrude sketch profile to a surface

The attachment is a solid body of half a fish. I would like to shell out the inside of the highlighted sketch which would make the body of the fish hollow with a wall thickness of 1mm and the tail solid.

My question is how do I do an extruded cut of the sketch to and make it finish inside the fish instead of cutting right through it?

Fish don't have shells, surely you need the scale command.

RE: Cut extrude sketch profile to a surface

Use the offset from surface
set the distance to 1mm
and check the Translate Surface option

this works for me

I used the translate surface with the offset from surface.
The shell command wasn't suitable as it would have shelled the whole body.

Thanks manxjim for your help.
