What is the latest word on SW2009 running on Vista? Does anyone have current benchmark comps to XP?

RE: SW2009 on Vista
I do not have any benchmark's running SolidWorks 2009 SP3.0 on Vista. But if I had it to do over again, I would not put Vista on my box. The first several months SolidWorks 2009 did not run well. Now I am onto a new project and the system is defragging every night and indexing when idle, I hope. Things are better, but still lockup or crash a few times a day. I have talked to our VAR and they try to help.

Thanks for the "UAC off in Vista" information. I had no idea. A star for you.

Switch of all the useless resource-sucking 'bling' and performance will improve.
RE: SW2009 on Vista
I should also mention as CBL did, I set the system to "best performance" which basically takes away the pretty vista aero look. So, not as slick looking but renders faster :)
