I have been trying to determine the best way to handle many feeds / radios operating on a single point to point link, as much as 10 to 20 feeds would be nice, operating in the 5-6 GHz range.

I have been thinking that a dual-reflector approach might work, one small secondary parabolic-like dish with many small antennas within it, which in turn focuses the signal onto the larger primary parabolic. I was thinking I could potentially use some of the many small directional antennas now available.

The hope would be to get into the 30-33 dBi gain range with a primary parabolic dish size of around 1-2 meters. The obvious point is to limit size here, otherwise I'd just throw up 20 standard parabolic dishes.

Can anybody speak to the viability of a model like this? Design directions I might explore?
