Description of system variables

Description of system variables

(OP)
Is there any place where I can get a good description of all of the AutoCAD system variables?  I am using AutoCAD Light 2007, and the version I got didn't come with a manual.  I can use the SETVAR command, but this command doesn't describe what each system variable does.  The help menu has a glossary of system variables, which is lacking in other ways; it gives generic descriptions and doesn't list many of the commands to change the system variables.  Thank you for your replies.

RE: Description of system variables

There is a list of all AutoCAD variables (including the undocumented ones) on http://www.cadforum.cz/variables

But if you search for a longer description you will have to go to the AutoCAD LT Help [F1].

RE: Description of system variables

help / contents / system variables gives a complete list of all the set variable commands with quite detailed descriptions and is cross referenced to the appropriate system and drawing commands. Is this not available in "ACAD light"? note that not all the variables are accessible through system commands. However, you can generally use a lisp expression to change them.
