RE: IDC Technologies Training Feedback

One of our younger guys at the power plant went on IDC's power systems protection course and rated it fairly highly. He left his notes behind when he left, so I felt obliged to look after them for him. They seem decent.

RE: IDC Technologies Training Feedback

I've completed both an online delivery course, as well as a face to face short course, these being in process control and power distribution respectively.

I think the notes are quite good for what you get, the course delivery is reasonable, though its worth noting that depending on the audience that you get it may be swayed one way or the other in terms of direction. We had a few sparkies on the power distribution course, so the discussion tended towards practical aspects of installation and operation.

The online course was plagued by the expected difficulties, its fairly good in terms of delivery, and the method that included assignments and so on I felt was better than the short (and unlikely to be retained) presentation of the face to face course. I did have some ISP trouble that made it difficult at times, but the notes and so on made up for it.

I'd consider carrying out another course should the opportunity arise.
