How do I avoid objects joining?

How do I avoid objects joining?

How do I avoid objects joining?

As you can see from the picture, I want my objects to be separate. I drew black lines where I want my objects to stay separate, but instead they kinda joined as one surface? Is there anyway to avoid that? Thanks...

RE: How do I avoid objects joining?

I would be guessing if I thought you have used different features to create each of these 'objects?' If so, then uncheck the 'merge result' box when defining the feature.

RE: How do I avoid objects joining?

Either use the Weldment function, or when extruding the profile, make sure the Merge option is not selected.
