AutoCAD Zooming issue.

AutoCAD Zooming issue.

AutoCAD Zooming issue.

(OP)
I have the same issues as in thread555-182412: Zooming in Paperspace (now closed with no solution).

The drawing is in model space in several view ports (different views) and the dimensions and labelling is done in Paperspace.

When Zoooming in to be able to dimension from a line, the model appears to zoom in further than the paperspace, and then the snap points do not coincide with the lines. This makes it almost impossible to draw efficiently.

Has anyone else (who has had this issue) been able to solve it ?

Thanks in advance.

RE: AutoCAD Zooming issue.

set regenauto to on
set viewres to 10000
try again

RE: AutoCAD Zooming issue.

You might want to do an orbit and zoom extents in model space to see if everything is really on one plane.

Weird things happen when elements within nested blocks are 14000 miles behind the other drawing elements.  Actually happened.

Thanks for the replies, but unfortunately still no success.
I set viewres res to 10000 and then 20000 but no change.
The views in model space are created by the _solview and _ soldraw commands (so they originate from a 3D model)

I have attached two views to show the problem.

Interestingly, if I change the size of the viewport so that it does not show all of the drg item, and then zoom in with window, it is acutally OK and things still line up, although for detailed drawings this would become tedious quickly.

I might be wrong, but I've had it happen before. Try psltscale=0 inside the viewport.
