(OP)
i am going to raise power factor of 1600kw induction motor has star connection.calculated kvars are 200 and capacitance 15 mf if capacitors are delta connected and 45 mf if in star connection.
here i am confuse.can some one help me which connection i shall adopt for capacitors, star or delta or any connection .

RE: star or delta connection of capacitor

You typically install them to match what the capacitor supplier can sell you. 200kVAR is likely a single capacitor can that can be installed with fuses.

If you were building a large capacitor bank then using a scheme such as a double Y connection with a current sense between the banks or a Y connection with a meter looking for a shift in the Y voltage is a good idea.
