(OP)
Hello,

I'm looking for a company that will cut a single crystal rod into specific crystallographic orientations. This is for academic research and I already have the metal rod. I'm also looking to do this as inexpensively as possible because I don't have direct funding for my research.

Thanks,
Sarah

RE: Company that cuts single crystal into (100),(110), (111)

The only time that I did this I counted the SC material and did the X-ray work.  Then I sent it to a shop with a 5 axis wire EDM and told them what angles to cut on.

As you didn't give any physical information in your OP here are a few shots in dark.

Here is on approach to cutting your sample with a Diamond Wire Saw. I would talk to DWT about anyone doing small lot cutting.

Your local stain glass shop might have a small diamond wire saw. Any lapidary shop should have this type saw along with a diamond blade saw.

You might want to call these people and see if they know anyone who will do cutting on a one off basis.

Here is UKAM a good source of information about your problem.
