Cladding base metal thickness

Cladding base metal thickness

Cladding base metal thickness

(OP)
Does API 582 have restrictions regarding the thicknessrange of the basemetal cladded? E.g. having a testplated of 20 mm cladded with Alloy 625 give that us the possibility to clad base material > 20 mm?

RE: Cladding base metal thickness

The API RP 582 does not address the thickness of the base metal, as such does not have restrictions on your test plate thickness. For these restrictions, refer to ASME SA-263, SA-264 and SA-265, ASME IX.
