When I add a color to a catpart some of the part does not change to the color applied?  I have tried reseting the graphic properties and applying the color again but that does not seem to work. Can anyone help?
I am running CATIA V5 R16

RE: Part coloring

How do you apply the color? on which level in the spec tree?

RE: Part coloring

right click on body,   reset properties

RE: Part coloring

search geometry by colour, select them, then set the colour back

RE: Part coloring

If you are viewing an assembly, you might have to reset the part instance to "no color" in order to see the color of the PartBody.

If you are viewing a part, reset properties should work. I always click the APPLY TO CHILDREN option.

The problem usually occurs in Partbodies that have multiple boolean operations. I have tried the reset graphic properties and selected all children but this does not fix the problem??

The colors are set by a customer macro that I beleive selects Partbody and applies a color depending upon the layer that partbody is on.

RE: Part coloring

Have you tried the Graphic Wizard to analyze which features are what color?

RE: Part coloring

did you change the layer of the element / part body ?

if the color changes then you were right... there might be some knowledgeware involved in this.

If seen KW rule changing element color ...
