Black Model Edges!!

Black Model Edges!!

Black Model Edges!!

(OP)
Can anyone tell me how to get Pro Engineer models to show black edges permanently? I know you can do it by changing the 'part' color to black and apply, then select 'surfaces', pick a surface RMC select 'solid surfaces'and apply a color. This will give you a colored part but with black edges.

The problem is if you carry on modifying the part, ie add fillets and cuts or bosses, the new features appear in black, and not the specified 'surface' color.

There must be a way to fix edge color to black all the time and you can just specify the color of the part normally but keep black edges all the time?

RE: Black Model Edges!!

Have you been using UG/NX with the edge highlight enabled?

With any solid model, you have the solid color, which you turned black, and the surface color which you then colored. Adding a feature to the model, like a blend/chamfer, will modify the solid AND create new surfaces which pick up the solid color by default. You would have to go back and add color to the new surfaces to get what you want.
