Klixon overload protector
Klixon overload protector
(OP)
Does anyone where on the internet, where I might find an internal schematic for an automatic resetting Klixon? What I need to know is what the three terminals go to internally. The numbers on the Klixon are CET67ABN. A Klixon is an overload protector used mostly in fractional horsepower electric motors. It is usually mounted on the inside (not always) of the motor. It can be either manual resettable or automatic. It is generally made of black plastic...the manual resettable ones will have a red button on them. I've tried a google search, but haven't had much luck, so far.

The start winding connects to the terminal on the left, and the main winding connects to the terminal in the middle. That way the Klixon interrupts the current to both the start and run windings, but only the run winding current flows through the heater wire.
