Print selection

Ok I just loaded 2009 and now I cant do print selection like I did in 2008.  In 2008 when I would click on selection print it allowed me to print a desire box around anything in my drawing.  Now in 2009 when I click selection print it automatically prints it doesn't give me the option to box an area to print.  It's similar to windowed print area in DWGeditor or Auto CAD.  If I convert my drawing to .dwg it looks horrible it looks way better in solidworks drawings.  Help me to get my selection print back!!!

RE: Print selection

Make sure you're using the latest SP for SolidWorks. I believe print selection was fixed in SP2.0.

Oh ok I'll try that.  I just hate how long it takes, but it should be worth it if it works.

Thanks!!!

RE: Print selection

SP3 should be released sometime next week. If you can wait till then you might save yourself some time.

Also, the new print selection has changed somewhat. It is not exactly the same as before.

RE: Print selection

Apparently the former print 'selection' functionality will be returned in SP3.

Thank you all!  I just load SP3.0 and now the print selection works just fine now!  Thanks.

RE: Print selection

That's good news, but be aware that SP3.0 is an an EV (Early Visibility) version which may require special consideration (uninstalling ?) before updating to the full production version of SP3.0 or other SP's.
