another super engine

another super engine

RE: another super engine

From what i've read its been around for a while, it's tiny allrigth its just hard to believe its going to be massive... 3000Hp from that complex mechanism in a reliable way... but hey, prove me wrong and i'll be the first to want one, on a bike! oh yeah

RE: another super engine

Similar engine designs have been around for quite a while.  There is a similar one called the Tschudi engine that has been around since before 1967.

      Here's a reference:

Rivals to the Wankel: A Roundup of Rotary Engines   by Jan P. Norbye,   Popular Science, January, 1967.

Also,  LJK Setright's book  Some Unusual Engines  shows a similar design.

I notice that there aren't many in production, despite the fact that the basic design has been around for more than 50 years.

RE: another super engine

I wonder if anything has been done with this lately.  I remember seeing it in 2006 and thinking how this could really revolutionize the world of IC engines.

RE: another super engine

It probably doesn't last long if it does run at all.
