Hi There

Are any of you guys using an FDA compliant barrier fluid that can run at between -100C and +150C?

Currently a Dow product called Sylterm XLT is being used.  This is very hard to get hold of so we are looking for an alternative.

Do you have any suggestions?

Many THanks

S

RE: Barrier Fluid FDA low temp

Flowserve Corporation has a synthetic oils line designed for sealing system. They are called Duraclear and FDA compliance.

Hope it can help you!

Try Royal Purple.  This is an excellent oil to use for your application.

Thanks..

I think it will have to be Royal Purple although their lowest temperature limit is -65C.  I am currently waiting for viscosity data from the supplier.

Thanks
