Call out symbol question

I have a drawing stating a callout for plating finish followed by another number in parentheses after that. Can someone explain this to me. It's a drawing in mm.

I'm wondering if it's meant to mean, machined surface roughness of 6.3um, 3.2um after plating.
However, that's complete guesswork, it doesn't comply with any standard I'm familiar with. I'd try and go back to whoever provided the drawing if possible.

The 6.3 is showing the default surface finish, and you shouldn't find it anywhere else on the drawing.
The 3.2 is showing that there is a different surface finish specified somewhere on the drawing for a specific area or surface.
As an example, you might see this on a drawing of a round part. You would have a surface finish of 6.3um on the entire part...EXCEPT where there is the same symbol from inside the parentheses is shown pointing to the bore.
The text behind everything (broken edges, plated), from what I have seen, looks like the literal translation from German. (no, I can't find the german version right now, mainly because I REEEEALY need it) It means "break all edges, and do it BEFORE plating"
Just for reference, I have seen up to 4 surface finish symbols on a drawing, one outside and three inside the parentheses. It's always a LOT of fun finding them all :)

If the drawing references ASME Y14.5m 1994, then dimensions shown in parentheses are "reference dimensions" unless other wise specified. pg 42 3.3.8, pg 45 fig 3-8, pg 2 1.3.10.
Not sure if the ISO equivalent differs in this symbology.

If an area is marked with a triangle without a top line - the surface condition required can be achieved by any means.
DIN/ISO 1302.
Manufacturing methods of surface roughness - attainable arithmetical mean value as per Ra as per DIN 4766-1.
6.3 - from cutting to turning, drilling, reaming, milling.
3.2 - all of the above, only better quality.
If you run into this more often you could go to the "Beuth Verlag" English web site and order DIN 4766.

For all the people using computer translating services like google, babelfish etc. for technical translations - be very careful. Usually they are completely worthless and can lead
to some very costly errors. Best to have someone familiar with the subject in both languages take a look at it.
Not your grandma from Europe. These translating services should only be used as a helper for gen. conversation.
Never for a translation of a technical drawing or other technical info.
