NFPA 20 Number & Size of hose valves on test header?

NFPA 20, table 5.25 lays out the test header valve configuration, but specifies 'centrifugal' pumps. Any thoughts as to why this is, or is this table be used for all types of fire pumps?

Regards
Dave
