Help with parametric modelling

Help with parametric modelling

(OP)
I want to perform a parametric study, where the geometry of an object is varied. However, the only catch is that I need to be able to do this by parametrizing the input file. I have given an example below to more clearly explain, what I am trying to say.

Let's just say i have a cube, and i want to define the distance between two opposite faces by a parameter called 'length', with a value of 20mm. I know that this would be written in the input file as:

*PARAMETER
length = 20.

The problem is just that I don't know how to relate 'length' to the distance between the two faces. I am using Abaqus 6.7 EF-1.

Thanks for your help!
