External pressure question

External pressure question

External pressure question

(OP)
Hi all,
I am interested in designing a tube made out of Alloy 625 Grade 2 meant to withstand external pressure at 1600F. It seems that ASME Sec VIII Div 1 allows the use of this material for external pressure only up to 1500F (Ref Fig/Table NFN 22) even though the tables for the material in Sec II Part D seems to allow for its use up to 1600F. They then say that extrapolation is not permissible.
I seek your help/advice in this matter!
Thanks in advance.

RE: External pressure question
