(OP)
Hello,

I apologize in advance for asking such a simple question, but I am struggling to change my display styles in Autocad.  I am running 2008 MEP and I would like to have the default setup for any new drawing I open to have the snaps off, the grid off, and the view style to be realistic.  I will admit that I am a Solid Works user and am familiar with that enviroment.  Please forgive me if I am asking a obviously simple question.  I have made a few google searches in vain before coming here.

RE: Default Style

Hi trekfan,

You need to set these variables in your default template, which is probably Acad.dwt unless you've changed it.

RE: Default Style

If these are not set in the template drawing, you can include them in either a LISP or DIESEL expression in Acad.lsp which can be set to load for every drawing.
