Assembly Sequencing

Assembly Sequencing

Assembly Sequencing

(OP)
I'm in NX5 trying to sequence a fully constrained assembly.  I can enter the sequencing workbench by selecting Assembly Sequences from the Assemblies toolbar and then create a new sequence by selecting "Create New Sequence" in the Sequence Navigator.  After that however, I can't seem to find the camera, motion, disassemble, etc. picks on the toolbar.  I attempt to do an Extration Path and I get a dialog saying mating constraints will be turned off.  I select yes and then I get a message saying the Path Planning License is not available.

Is there a specific option I need to have in my software?

Thanks...

RE: Assembly Sequencing

In order to use the Extraction Path function you will need to purchase the 'Path Planning' module.  Since this function uses code licensed from a 3rd party and to whom we are obligated to pay a royalty for each seat sold, we could not automatically include it as enhancement to Assembly Sequencing without first having to pay a royalty for every seat of NX currently under maintenance.

John,

Can I create any assembly sequence?  I can't even find the camera or insert motion functions?  Are you saying I need this module just to do the basics?

RE: Assembly Sequencing

No, simple Sequencing only requires an Assembly license.  I can't find any situation in Sequencing where those items are not available unless you have explicitly hidden them using Customize.

John,

I found the icons.  There were buried under some custom layout I had going.

thanks...
