trying to create transparent assy !

(OP)
i've been tasked with trying to recreate a pro/e drg in ugnx2, one of the assy views is of a box shown in transparent mode and in phantom linetype with the components inside the box shown full line thickness (easy in pro/e !) - the closest i can recreate is to extract the curves of the box and manually edit them and then show the components normally - does anyone know of any other methods?

RE: trying to create transparent assy !

Is what you want something like the attached?

What I think you may need to do is a function called Define Render Sets. What you do is to set up the parameters for a render set found under drafting preferences, using the view tab.  When you define the render set you can select which objects that you want to have shown as phantom. You later add the view and edit the view preferences to apply the render set.

If this doesn't achieve the correct result then could you make or find an image illustrating what it is that you want please.

Best Regards
