Marine Accomodation Ladder Max. Angle Reference
Marine Accomodation Ladder Max. Angle Reference
(OP)
We have specified a marine accomodation ladder with curved treads to access a floating dock. We have the ladder going to an angle of 45 degrees at low water, which is shy of the 55 degree limit that I've used for years. The problem is that the client is asking for backup for where this 55 degree limit comes from and I don't have an answer.
I'm told by our in-house marine specialist that 55 degrees is what is used for ship ladders, but I need some sort of spec to show the client.
