Weld end preparation for pipe and fitting

Weld end preparation for pipe and fitting

(OP)
I have a weld end preparation, which is shown in the link below:

http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=831d2aa3-663c-4b21-8e99-2627b8185151&file=Weld_End.bmp

Welding ends shall be prepared per ASME B16.25. If the thickness is greater than 22 mm, ASME B16.25 (2007) Fig. 3 shall be applied. It looks like the attached end preparation does not meet B16.25. Can anybody help me to verify? Or comment if this kind of design is acceptable or not. Thanks.

RE: Weld end preparation for pipe and fitting

sw007,
Refer to ASME B16.9, Para 8, Fig. 1.
Cheers,
