ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code section 9

(OP)
Can I use my PQR for p no.1 group no. 2 steel on any steel in that P no. and Group no. or do I have to qualify each type of steel. It seems to me I should be able to have the one PQR for this type of material but I cant find it in the code book in black and white to ease my worries?

Go to QW-250 and see what essential variables regarding base material P-No and Group No control the WPS for a particular process or processes.
