Pricing inquiry for WaterCAD

Pricing inquiry for WaterCAD

(OP)

I am an civil engineering student graduating from UW-Madison this spring and I'm looking to start up my own firm with my dad. I'm trying to draw up a business plan and get some cost estimates for software. The only thing that I still can't find is prices for WaterCAD.

I've been to their website and done some in-depth searching. I've managed to find a few prices:

For stand alone, I have prices up to 1,000 pipes. I still need prices for 2k, 5k, 10k, and Unlimited.

For AutoCAD version, i have prices up to 500 pipes. I still need prices for 1k, 2k, 5k, 10k, and Unlimited

It's important that I get as much as I can so i know what kind of jobs I'll be able to bid on. The bankers want to know too :)

It's a bit ridiculous that I have to go onto a forum to get this information, but Bentley won't return my calls since I don't have a registered business yet. Please help.

RE: Pricing inquiry for WaterCAD

Try EPANet. It's free. EPA won't return your calls either, but then you didn't waste $$$$$ or time with them.

Thanks for the link, that's a really great resource for free software. Right now, I'm trying to learn EPANet, but it is difficult when there's no tech support. That's really the main reason why I'm asking about commercial software.

Also, I've heard BOSS is coming out with a powerful package called WaterNET. I've talked to a couple guys that said their tech support is pretty awesome. They'll even help make models. That's a big selling point for me.

Has anyone else heard anything about WaterNET?

Starting your own firm?

Is your dad a PE?

I am certain you are not, if just graduating.

Check your state laws.

EPAnet is about as easy as they come.  Go through the tutorials.
