GRiP Question, UG Manager

GRiP Question, UG Manager

GRiP Question, UG Manager

(OP)
Hi,

I am encoding a part number to UG manager using the UGMGRE command,

Is it possible, if so how, to wild card the part revision in the UGMGRE command so that the revision is sorted out by the revision rule.

Cheers,

NXJ

RE: GRiP Question, UG Manager

I've got some limited experience encoding and decoding file names in/out of Tce.  I never could get it to the point where the latest revision was picked up.  Part of the problem (IIRC) entailed the 50 char limit for the entire partname/rev, eventhough each could be a 132 char string.

I had no luck at all w/wildcards... I resorted to trying to get all revs and using a bubble sort.  This didn't work out very well either and at the end of the day I resorted to hard-coding the rev.

If you get a solution I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Regards,
SS
