SVE well diameter

SVE well diameter

SVE well diameter

trying to decide if there is a significant benefit of larger 4-inch wells over 2-inch wells for an SVE system.  going with 4-inch adds 2-3k to my cost of installation of the wells.  i can't find much info to help me decide.  what are the other factors should i consider?  the borehole diameter/annualar space for sand pack will be about the same either way.

In addition to cost, you should also consider your expected extraction rate.  Often 4-inch wells are selected over 2-inch because the 4-inch wells are capable of higher extraction flow rates and will experience less friction loss.
