continuous measurement of cast iron stream
continuous measurement of cast iron stream
(OP)
is it possible to measure the temperature of continuous stream of cast iron from pressurized pouring furnace spout with a non contact IR pyrometer? The accuracy requirement is 5C (plus minus)
If yes which sensor should i use? Which company?. Which product?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Or some other proprietary system.
Non contact thermocouples are really pretty good. They are little cylinders that have an optical window and two wires that are whatever T/C material they are mimicking. This allows you to hook them to any T/C reading, displaying, controlling, or logging device.
