Is there a quick way to determine the total or sum of all the nodal reaction forces?
I tried to use etable to list them all and then just ssum, but I couldn't work it with etable.....
thanks.

RE: nodal reaction forces

In /post1, read in your results and just issue the command "prrsol". This will give you the total in each direction (plus the rotationals if you have any nodes constrained as such).

RE: nodal reaction forces

hi thanks,
I'm running my analysis in batch mode and need to get the sum during the run between load steps, so I couldn't use prrsol.
But I have worked out how to do this.
Thank you for your help!!
