SFRC slab on ground saw cut depths
SFRC slab on ground saw cut depths
(OP)
Does anyone know of guidelines in regards to the depth and timing of saw cuts in SFRC slabs on ground?
I attended a seminar a few years ago where 1/2 depth was recommended, however this is being questioned by certain concrete contractors.

You can stretch out your joint spacing a bit. Rather than using 24 x thickness you can go to 36 x thickness, maybe even to 40 x thickness, depending on fiber mix and type.

statement of 1/4 thickness; this is a good general rule of
thumb. Are there any special conditions?
