Vertical Submersible Pumps

Vertical Submersible Pumps

Vertical Submersible Pumps

(OP)
The engineering data sheet specifies VS4 type pump for the closed drain vessels in the refinery plant. For one of such pump the capacity is 15 m3 /hr and head 60 metres. Two cases have been furnished . Case one with water and case 2 with Hydrocarbon ( with H2S). One of the vendor has selected VS1 type Pump ( single casing with diffuser and 11 stage pump). What is the selection criteria to decide on upon VS1 / VS2 or VS4?

RE: Vertical Submersible Pumps

What are you asking- what is a VS4 type pump?

RE: Vertical Submersible Pumps

(OP)
It is the pump designation for vertically suspended single-  casing volute line-shaft driven sump pump as per API 610.

RE: Vertical Submersible Pumps

cannot understand your problem - spec calls for VS4 - therfore only single stage is applicable - plenty to choose from - 60 metres head is achievable with 1 stage.
Simply google VS4 pump - plenty of hits.
