dimensional value into a note
dimensional value into a note
(OP)
I want the number from a dimension to appear in a note on my drawing. How do I do that? I can link to a property but the dimesion ref isn't in the drop down list...
Alternatively I can create a user variable that is the output of my equations. But I can't seem to link to that either.
I want to create this note with the number in it and get it to show up in a drawing view. Then I will copy the drawing view a few times and set each view to display a different config - and hopefully a different number in the note.
For some reason this seems to be very difficult to do!

RE: dimensional value into a note
I already tried to copy and paste the dim description but because it was driven by an equation it is greyed out and couldn't be selected.
Typing the description long hand works too.
