(OP)
I am using MSC.FEA 2008 R1. Its basically a patran bundled with nastran. The default unit is always inches. Is there anyway of changing the default unit to meters?

RE: Re: English units in Patran

Hi

I don't use MSC.FEA but are you sure there is a default unit?

Usually, in my experiance, in FEM software there is no unit system. It's the users choice and also the users responsibility to keep the units consistent.

Thomas
