Relative Hole Position in ST
Relative Hole Position in ST
(OP)
Hello!
I have a "Problem" in Solid Edge ST:
When I'm in the scetch command and have constructed a rectangle and I want a circle located at X and Y from the bottom left corner.
In the previous versions I could define the bottom left corner as the zero point, and then type X and Y values for the Center of my circle.
How do I do this in ST?
Of maybe as in some other CAD programs where you can "snap from" a specific point.
help me out please.
Thanks

RE: Relative Hole Position in ST
when in part and sketch mode press ALT+G (grid must have
been activated before this to be of any use) and there
it's the 'old' tool bar
When in draft it's a bit complicated
-- customize Quick Access Toolbar
-- PullDown to Tools
There you find a GRID on the left (without an Icon)
Add this to the QAT
Close
Now pressing this button (it's a toggle switch) on the QAT
will show the 'old' RibbonBar containing the X/Y fields

just checked it: it doesn't seem to work any value keyed in
will be ignored even by using ALT+x or ALT+Y
IIRC there should be an IR already filed against the missing
or not working X/Y fields already ...

issue then ...

I figured it out:
Customize quick access toolbar - Keyboard - tools - grid -and assigned Alt + G to this command.
then I got it!
thanks man!
