Hello everyone,

My question is about The LDC settings for a transformer with an LTC tap changer.

How do we calculate the R&X settings and also how do we define PT and CT settings?

Thanks in advance and best Regards,

RE: LDC settings for a transformer with an LTC tap changer.

Refer to the instruction manual that is provided with the LTC controller.

The goal is to bias the LTC voltage setpoint as the load changes to account for the voltage drop in the feeder.

If this is an industrial facility, you may not need to do use the LDC.  If it is substation transformer serving multiple feeders, it may not make sense to use the LDC either, since the voltage drop on each feeder can vary considerably.
