HVAC equipment is rated for capacity in tonnage and refrigeration is rated in horsepower. How is ammonia equipment capacity determined? I'm wanting to understand ammonia better

RE: calculating ammonia equipment sizes

Wrong forum, use HVAC.  Get a engineering handbook such "Kent-Power" or "Mark", they explain the theory.
There is also literature that shows side by side comparison of refrigerants tonnage, cooling capacities, equipment HP and the like.
As far as the concept of the refrigerant cycle, there is no diference between refrigerants.

I'm new to the forum and thought I posted in HVAC. Thanks for the tips!
