RE: Looking for a threaded insert.

uGlay... OK

Helical coil? Nahhhh maybe not... they typically come in 0.5XD multiples of the base diameter [1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3D]

Note: your depth suggests a solid-wall insert: light-weight [thin-wall], heavy-weight [thick wall], with coarse or fine outer threads???

Regards, Wil Taylor

Try NAS1832-5-750

close but is .3125-28UNJF

I have spec'd helicoil for now.  This insert is going to be in a handle (which will be tightened and loosened) repeatedly so I am leaning towards a solid body, thick wall insert.

btw, the 0.750" deep is just an estimate.  if there is a 1" deep insert or .600 deep i think it would be fine.  I just need it to be 5/16-18 interior thread.
