Does anyone know of a standard procedures manual or best practices document for Finite Element Analysis of aircraft structures? I have seen examples for cabin monuments and dynamic seats but are the any for airframe structures?

RE: Best Practices or Standard Procedures

Hi sjbjcl,

There was a similar question about a year or so ago but I can't remember under what heading; it could be one of the aerospace groups or this one. A set of notes on airframe modelling could be downloaded. Suggest you do a search of previous posts.

Regards

Andries

I've searched for what seems like hours. Any ideas where I could find it?

RE: Best Practices or Standard Procedures

Hi sjbjcl,

If you can let me have your e-mail address I could send you the document that was available on this site.

Regards

Andries

RE: Best Practices or Standard Procedures

Andries,

Use "...or upload your file to ENGINEERING.com" in step 3 below for the document, posting of email addresses is not allowed.

Awesome! Thanks for your help.

RE: Best Practices or Standard Procedures

johnhors,

Thanks for the info on protocol.

sjbjcl,

The file that Garland uploaded is the one I was wanting to send, so all's well. It is real nitty-gritty stuff.

Andries
