How do I reassociate an ordinate dimension in NX5.0.4.1?

The rmc on the leader line and reassociate does not seem to apply here.

Another question to this one.

How do I turn the name of an existing ordinate set "on".
I was given a drawing where none of dimensions of the ordinate set are associated to anything so I cannot pick it from the drawing.

RE: NX 5 ordinate dims

Well, using NX 5.0.6.3, I had NO problem whatsoever re-associating an Ordinate Dimension.  Note that I only tried this with dimensions created using the new updated Ordinate Dimension functionality introduced in NX 4.

Since none of the dimensions are associated I believe all I need to do is respecify the origin, and that will fix most of my problem.
To respecify the origin I will need to activate the oridinate set, but since none of the dimensions are associated to anything I cannot select it and activate it.

RE: NX 5 ordinate dims

Even if you have an Ordinate Dimension set whose origin is no longer associated to anything, you should be able to go into...

Insert -> Dimension -> Ordinate...

...and the origins of ALL existing Ordinate sets should be displayed and if you select the origin symbol for even a non-associated Ordinate set, you should be able to define a new origin.

And if that doesn't work, try this.

Create a new Ordinate Dimension set selecting the desired new origin.  Once you've created it and defined your new margins, leave that tool and go to...

Edit -> Annotation -> Ordinate Dimension...

And when this dialog comes up select the first option, 'Merge Ordinate Sets' and when the list comes up select first the new Ordinate set you just created and then the 'broken' set and hit OK.  This should merge the two sets together and now all the dimensions should be fully associative again.

I did the merge ordinate set thing and it worked fine, almost all of the dimensions came back ... thank you.
