asymmetric material model ls dyna

Hello,
I'm trying to model a material in ansys ls dyna. The material is essentially elastic plastic, but the yield strains are different in tension and compression. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a material model i could use.
When modelling it in ansys classic the only model i could find to use was the cast iron model!!
Thanks in advance.

RE: asymmetric material model ls dyna

Hi,

I can't help you directly, but there is a very good forum on LS-Dyna in yahoo groups:

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LS-DYNA/

Of course, this regards the program LS-Dyna itself rather than Ansys-Dyna, but they may be able to help, since the two programs are very similar, and there are some very clued-up people on the forum.

Regards,
Will
