Bushing Info

(OP)
I want to make some suspension pivots on a project of mine using bronzed bushings. I am using 7/8" OD X 3/4" ID X 1/2" Long with a 1/8" flange. One on either side of each pivot. My question is what should the clearance tolerance be for the inside between the bushing and pin and the sides between the flange and mounts. I want them to pivot freely with no play. Thank You!

I added a picture so you can understand what I was saying

RE: Bushing Info

How heavy is your car? They sound far too narrow for me. I used to have 1 inch long by 1 inch ID (approx) on a double wishbone suspension and they (a) needed greasing and (b) failed anyway evry 5000 miles.

So, what are you lubricating them with?

Cheers

its not a car its a dirt bike and I will be using a thick grease.

RE: Bushing Info

Take a look at this chart. I would stay at the minimum or a little less than clearance. This is diametrical clearance.
Make sure you get your bushings and measure them prior to machining the parts. There is a tolerance on the bushings.

ok and what about side to side clearance. Should it be the same.
