Tank Volume Equations

Tank Volume Equations

Tank Volume Equations

(OP)
Does anyone know where I can find equations to calculate the volumes of tanks with different geometries, such as, horizontal tank with conical heads, ellipsoidal heads, spherical heads and vertical tanks with similar variations?  I'm hoping to find either a standard, an article, or white paper with the equations.  From searching online it appears there is a good article by Dan Jones published in Chemical Processing magazine called "Computing Fluid Tank Volumes," but I've been unable to find the article to read it.

Thanks!

Thanks for the links.  I guess I needed to explain my question a little more, though.  What I actually need to find are equations to calculate the fluid volume in tanks of different geometries.  I reposted the question stating that clarification.  Thanks again!

RE: Tank Volume Equations

Pressure Vessel Design Manual by Dennis Moss has an appendix which deals with the volume of full and partially filled vessels. Make sure you're getting a 3rd edition; there have been several improvements over the 1st and 2nd editions.
