Converting Drafts to PDF in SE

Converting Drafts to PDF in SE

(OP)
Hello,

I am looking for a reliable and high quality PDF converter for my solid edge drafts.  I am currently using SE V12 and as far as I know there is not a built in PDF converter in this version.  Does anyone know of a good PDF converter?  I am willing to pay for it.

Right now, I am using a free PDF converter but it does not do as good of job as I would like it to.

I did a search of the forum but was unsuccessful in finding the information I need.  I did see that V19 as a built in converter.  What was the first version to offer this?  Maybe its time for an upgrade.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Nate

Bushing Master.

This has come up several times in the last year or two, do a good search of this forum (the search command doesn't work well use the google search or even just flick through the titles) and you should find a program posted by I think Beachcomber in a thread I started about similar.

If you really can't find it I'll try and take a look.

KENAT,

Have you reminded yourself of FAQ731-376: Eng-Tips.com Forum Policies recently, or taken a look at posting policies: http://eng-tips.com/market.cfm?

PDF995 is one. It's free or you can get a paif-for version to get rid of the adverts.

Alternatively I think if you download a 30-day trial version of Alibre Design and you get a nice pdf creator.

RE: Converting Drafts to PDF in SE

Hi,

V19 with SP2 was the first SE version with a built in PDF
converter. It can't be used with the SE print function only
with SaveAs --> type PDF

'Cutepdf' should also do a good job

Thanks everyone!

I downloaded PDF995 and it looks like it will do the job nicely.

I was using PDF4U but the PDF's looked unprofessional with the embedded "To removed this line please register." across the bottom.

At least PDF995's advertising technique doesn't carry over to the final product.

Thanks again.

I'm using Cutepdfwriter for a couple or years now and he does a really good job!

I installed CutePDF.  No ads, good res, and quick.  What more can you ask for?

Thanks for your help everyone.

If you spring for the Adobe Acrobat you get more power and can also create 3D pdfs but it is not cheap.
