NX6 tracking bar

NX6 tracking bar

NX6 tracking bar

My coworker lost his tracking bar (it shows up in edit curve parameters and basic curves among others). The NX2 era tricks for getting it back don't seem to be working.

Any suggestions?

RE: NX6 tracking bar

The only way I know was preferences > user interface > reset window position.

Thanks for the suggestion, we tried that and unfortunately it does not work. 'Reset dialog box settings' also did not work. If he starts a new part, the tracking bar shows up so it seems to be part specific.

Any other tricks?

RE: NX6 tracking bar

I can NOT think of any reason why this would be 'part specific'.  That makes NO sense whatsoever.

I agree, I'm just reporting what I see.

Update & correction:

If someone else opens the file they have the tracking bar; if he opens a different file he has the tracking bar back. If he then opens the file in question - no tracking bar.

So technically it is not part specific, though it is unexpected behavior.

RE: NX6 tracking bar

Happened to me, found it was a conflict with my widescreen monitor. NX Window doesn't maximize correctly on that one. The right edge goes off the monitor, and if there are any tracking bars or component preview windows out there, they're out of view.
It's fine on the 1600 X 1200. Nothing outside the bounds.

RE: NX6 tracking bar

One more thing you can try is,
Right click on desktop taskbar->Properties->and select "Auto-hide taskbar"
click OK
Goto line command (in "basic curves" dialog)
You can find the "Tracking bar" behind the "Desktop Taskbar"!!!

Good news, he found the tracking bar.

The 'reset window position' option worked, but only when a command that uses the tracking bar is running. So while the basic curves dialog is open, navigate to Preferences -> User interface... {layout tab} and press the 'reset window position' button.
