Stability of SEwST

Stability of SEwST

Stability of SEwST

(OP)
Hi all,
Is anyone else having problems with crashing on ST ?
Several times a day it will just disappear, occasionally giving us the chance to save.
We are using XP32-SP2 and the workstations are Dell 690's with Nvidia Quadro FX3500 256MB graphics cards.
There is 4GB installed ram, one workstation has the 3GB switch enabled, but I don't think my one has.
I've also had many more 'out of resources' warnings using ST than when we were using V20, and the assemblies are not particuarly big.

bc.
2.4GHz Core2 Quad, 4GB RAM,
Quadro FX4600.

RE: Stability of SEwST

Try adding the /USERVA 2900 setting after the /3GB switch. On some systems taking the full 3GB is too much and creates instability. The /USERVA setting pulls just a little bit back to help stabilise the sytem. The 2900 can be varied from 0 to 3072, but 'normal' variances are from 2500 to 3000.

cheers
