NX4 sweep help
NX4 sweep help
(OP)
Situation
I am currently working on a fuel distributor assembly. In this assembly I have to rotate a small tank 180 degrees so that the hose connector goes from being on the right side (top of the tank) to the left side. So once I performed the simple rotate task the hose is disconnects.
Question
So my question is... is there a way for me to change the sweep so that I can reconnect the hose without actually re-drawing. This hose is rather all over the place and it would be a pain in the rear end to re do everything from scratch when all I would like to do is move one end of the hose 4 inches to the left.
Also another annoying thing
When I highlight a hose that I would like to move all the other hoses highlight as well. I have tried exploding them but nothing works. Any way that I can somehow move one hose without moving all the rest?

RE: NX4 sweep help
That's the problem this is not my work. This assembly has an older assembly embedded. It is a one big massive blob of parts within parts.
I would love to provide you with a picture of the model however I cannot for legal purposes.
RE: NX4 sweep help
Now hoses are generally just tubes which you can create by using the tube function. All that you need to drive a tube is the centreline of its path and you can specify ID and OD and all things being equal get a result.
If the hose is not just a simple tube then we'll need to try a little harder, but the case may be that using a sweep is making a simple task more difficult than it need be.
Let us know how you go or post a model or something that we can actually address the question in relation to if you're stuck. I guess if you can't share it and haven't described it enough to make us think of any other solutions then how can we offer a better answer?
